Disgrace

When the National 1916 Commemoration Committee arrived at Arbour Hill for our commemoration we were astounded to find that the National Flag had been removed from the flagpole at the burial place of our patriot dead. Protocol demands, and more so on an Easter Sunday, that the National Flag be flown from dawn to dusk. The National 1916 Commemoration Committee endeavoured to contact the relevant government department responsible for Arbour Hill to register our protest at this unforgivable act. Their response was that the Cemetery closes at 4pm. A disgrace.
